The project is a heritage house from the first owner Bpk. Brata Manggala, who is the first generation of TNI. De Paviljoen functions as an Art Gallery, Restaurant and Hotel, with a concept of "Home for Everyone". Design reflects a "Contemporary Colonial" style looking to Bandung itself as a mix of Dutch colonialism, street style, and traditional Javanese culture. A color palette of white with light neutral colors - grey, black and beige - dominate the space with darker greys being used as accents. Moldings and panels are incorporated reflectin the colonial design. To maintain a cool temperature in the house, patterned marble stones and ceramics are used throughout, and incorporated into the ornamental design, while rustic materials of natural stone and recycled wood bring a contemporary update to the design.
